Available Fall 2008! TOTAL CHAOS introduces a 2” extended long travel IFS suspension system designed to eliminate the need to install fiberglass fenders and provide 11.5” of wheel travel with 4wd on the FJ Cruiser. A maximum tire size of 285/75R16 or 285/70R17 is recommended. Several features that are standard on TC’s 3.5” extended race kit released in 2005 were retained in the design of this kit. This system includes 2” extended upper and lower control arms that maintain factory upper and lower control arm mounting locations and incorporate 1” uniball’s for maximum travel and component strength. This kit is 100% bolt on and is intended to install a pair of 8” travel 2.5” coil over shocks from Sway-A-Way, Fox, King, or ICON Vehicle Dynamics that bolt into the factory coil bucket locations. This kit cannot be installed with existing 3” lift coil over shocks. The boxed lower control arms incorporate a single 2.5” lower shock mount and include a limit strap tab. You can retain the factory lower control arm rubber bump stop or install a set of Jounce Shocks for even more control. TC custom extended 4340 axles are required to be inserted into the factory inner and outer CV’s to retain 4wd. DOT extended stainless brake lines, tie rod adjusters, adjustable limit strap mounts and all necessary mounting hardware is included with this kit. 4wd IFS long travel suspension systems articulate at greater angles than the factory length set up will allow. The 3.5” extended system has been successful on the international Rally scene in South American and China and incorporates several of the same features that this new 2” system provides.
